Backgrounds and Bokeh Photography Meetup
Saturday 14 September
Palmerston Rd, Southampton - 2pm - 2 Hours
Nikki Wileman
Watch your back(ground)! For many beginners and those just getting to grips with manual camera settings spending time selecting the correct aperture and shutter speed to perfectly expose the subject is, rightly, essential.
But it is very easy to be so focused (no pun intended!) on this that other elements receive less attention. One of these often-overlooked elements is the background, and this meetup will be an opportunity to learn how to improve composition by, simply, considering the background. We'll be exploring colour, light, pattern, blur, etc and how to use the environment / context to really show off the subject.
